The culture and working style has completely changed as a company of mere 5 employees to a fortune 500 company, everybody is adopting to or has already adopted to the cloud. In this global crisis, cloud has actually acted as a change maker for many enterprises.

With multi cloud, SMEs are able to provision bigger goals and take more advantage of capacity, features or speed as provided by a cloud provider.

Here are a few drivers for adoption to multi-cloud for SMEs:

Multi-cloud helps organizations to put workloads where they are required most and can benefit the cloud benefits. The business requirements are changing rapidly and businesses require to save costs, perform better and enhance scalibility. It is important to choose the right cloud that can enhance optimization and meet regulatory requirements

3. Continuous accelerated pace of innovation in the cloud:

Cloud computing is innovating everyday, giving more options to IT organizations, making it possible for them to have multiple choices and giving an ease of multi-cloud environment. Keeping track of cloud innovation can be risky and time taking, that is where the multi-cloud environment helps and makes it better for enterprises for smooth working.

  3. Expense Reduction: With multi cloud, users can do a lot of expense reduction.

Many Indian families till date used to trust brick and mortar instead of online purchasing. But pandemic has made access to online retail stores much easier than access to the physical stores. Now more and more families are adopting to online shopping of groceries as well. Companies in the healthcare sector are moving towards the concept of telemedicine, wherein doctors are getting video call appointments and the cure is done by treating/explaining the patients digitally. The CEO\’s and founders who earlier used to think their businesses will only work and get revenues if they physically meet their employees on daily basis, are now realizing that work from office is just an added cost. Employees instead are functioning well from their houses, keeping their health at par, getting to spend time with their families and performing much better.

All this has enabled and created more need for multi-cloud adoption for enterprises. As per a Forbes report, Microsoft’s team services saw a surge by 775%, Zoom reported to have 345% increased business during the first week of lockdown due to COVID-19. The AWS saw 33% growth in sales and has broken the record of $10 billion bar. Multi-Cloud technology has impacted everyone’s lives greatly. People are noticing its worth due to pandemic. If it would not have been for multi-cloud technology, so many businesses in the world which are up and running successfully, would not have been able to survive otherwise.
