Business Need:
To sustain rapid growth and ensure seamless scalability, the organization required a secure, standardized, and automation-led cloud and DevOps foundation capable of supporting modern microservices alongside legacy workloads. The organization faced operational and delivery inefficiencies that limited agility and scalability.
- Lack of a standardized DevSecOps pipeline across services
- Limited observability across microservices and legacy EC2 workloads
- Manual build tracking is leading to delayed issue resolution
- Need for secure, scalable API exposure for production systems
- Growing complexity due to hybrid workloads (modern + legacy)
These gaps created risks around release velocity, incident response times, and production stability – directly impacting operational efficiency.
Solution Approach: Building an Automation-First DevSecOps Platform
Rapyder implemented a DevSecOps-first cloud architecture focused on automation, embedded security, centralized observability, and scalable API management.
Key solution pillars included:
- Security by Design: Embedded security controls directly within CI/CD pipelines
- Centralized Observability: Unified monitoring, logging, and tracing across modern and legacy environments
- Operational Automation: Real-time build and deployment notifications
- Scalable API Management: API Gateway-based traffic control for production workloads
- The solution was deployed in the AWS Mumbai Region (ap-south-1) to ensure regional performance and compliance alignment.
Implementation:
- A unified DevSecOps pipeline was implemented across frontend, backend, mobile, WebBFF, and MobileBFF services in the AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) region to standardize and secure application delivery.
- A centralized observability framework was deployed to provide monitoring, logging, and tracing across microservices using Helm charts, while enabling visibility into legacy EC2 workloads through automated scripts.
- Real-time Slack integrations were established to automate CI/CD build and deployment notifications, improving operational transparency and cross-team responsiveness.
- API Gateway was configured and deployed for the Billing Production and TND (HCM) environments to ensure secure, scalable, and governed API exposure for critical workloads.
Reaping Rewards:
The transformation delivered measurable operational and strategic benefits:
- Accelerated Release Velocity through automated CI/CD pipelines
- Stronger Security Posture with embedded DevSecOps controls
- End-to-End Application Visibility across microservices and legacy workloads
- Reduced Manual Effort & Improved Cross-Team Collaboration via automation
- Secure & Scalable API Governance for production systems
- High-Stability Execution across multiple sprints.
