Introduction

Migration ends on a specific date. Operations do not. Once your workloads are live on AWS, someone must watch them at 3 a.m., patch them, keep backups restorable, close security findings and stop the monthly bill from drifting upward.

Many Indian enterprises hand that work to a cloud partner such as Rapyder Cloud Solutions. The choice matters more than the migration partner, because you will live with it every day. A weak provider shows up as slow incident response, unexplained cost spikes and audit findings that stay open for months.

This guide helps CIOs, CTOs, IT heads and business leaders shortlist the best AWS managed service providers in India for their own situation. It profiles five providers, explains what their AWS credentials mean, and lists the questions to ask before you sign.

What does an AWS managed services provider do?

An AWS managed services provider runs your cloud environment day to day so your internal team can focus on product and business work. Scope varies by contract, but most AWS managed services India engagements cover these areas:

  • Monitoring: 24×7 watch on infrastructure, applications and alerts, with noise filtered out before it reaches your team.
  • Incident response: triage, troubleshooting and fixes, with defined priorities and escalation.
  • Security operations: patching, vulnerability remediation, access reviews and compliance support. Security on AWS is a shared responsibility, so the contract must spell out who owns what.
  • Backup and disaster recovery: scheduled backups, restore tests and documented recovery plans.
  • Cost optimization (FinOps): rightsizing, Savings Plans and Reserved Instance planning, and cleanup of idle resources.
  • Ongoing improvement: Well-Architected reviews, automation and modernization of workloads over time.

A provider that only does monitoring is closer to a NOC service than a full managed services partner. Ask which of these areas are in the base contract.

How we selected the best AWS managed service providers in India

This list is not a ranking. The providers appear in no order after Rapyder, and “best” depends on your workloads, budget, compliance needs and how much control you want to keep in-house.

Each provider had to meet four criteria:

  • AWS Advanced or Premier Tier Services Partner, as stated by the provider or AWS. Advanced is the minimum tier for the AWS MSP Program.
  • AWS MSP status checked for every provider. Where we could not find validated MSP status, the profile says so.
  • Delivery presence or published customer work in India.
  • Documented AWS managed services offering, covering operations beyond migration.

Three AWS credentials that are often confused

These are separate validations. One does not imply another.

  • Partner tier (Select, Advanced, Premier): reflects overall AWS investment, certified staff and customer launches. It does not, by itself, validate operations capability. See AWS Services Partner Tiers.
  • AWS Competencies and Specializations: validate expertise in one area, such as migration, security or an industry. A Migration Competency says nothing about 24×7 operations.
  • AWS MSP Partner Program: validates managed services practices through a third-party audit. This is the most relevant credential for buyers of ongoing operations. See the AWS MSP Partner Program.

All credentials above were checked against company and AWS pages as of October 2026. AWS credentials are renewed and can lapse. Always confirm a provider’s status on AWS Partner Solutions Finder before you sign.

Its stated support model includes 24/7 support for production systems and a two-hour response during business hours.

Industries and workloads: BFSI and fintech, edtech, healthcare, manufacturing, media, retail and e-commerce, gaming, IT/ITeS and global capability centres. Published managed services case studies include DesignCafe and Vouchagram.

Who should evaluate it: Indian mid-market companies, digital natives, GCCs and regulated businesses that want an AWS-focused partner with direct engineer access. It also suits buyers who want one team to handle migration, operations and generative AI work.

2. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

Overview: TCS is a Mumbai-headquartered global IT services company and part of the Tata group.

Verified AWS credentials: In December 2023, TCS stated it holds AWS Premier Tier, AWS MSP, Public Sector, Solution Provider and Well-Architected memberships, plus over 35 Competencies and Service Validations (TCS). We could not find a more recent public breakdown.

Key managed services capabilities: Managed services delivered alongside cloud migration, application and data modernization, and industry solutions on AWS.

3. Infosys

Overview: Infosys is a Bengaluru-headquartered global IT services company. Its cloud offerings sit under Infosys Cobalt.

Verified AWS credentials: AWS’s Infosys partner page lists 13 Competencies, 11 Service Validations and 7 Partner Programs, and describes Infosys as a managed service AWS Partner. Infosys describes itself as a Premier Consulting Partner (Infosys). AWS’s page did not state the tier, so confirm it on Partner Solutions Finder.

Key managed services capabilities: ITIL-based operations using AWS-native and third-party tools, infrastructure as code, SRE practices and ongoing cost optimization. Infosys also holds the AWS Level 1 MSSP Competency.

Key managed services capabilities: An “Agentic Enterprise Operations” offering covering AIOps, CloudOps, SecOps, FinOps and platform engineering. Published case studies include managed AWS operations for a global pharma company and a UK gas distributor.

Industries and workloads: Financial services, life sciences and healthcare, manufacturing and automotive, plus mainframe and SAP modernization.

Who should evaluate it: Enterprises that want heavy automation in operations and need global delivery coverage.

5. Accenture

Overview: Accenture is a global professional services company with a large delivery presence in India. It works with AWS through the Accenture AWS Business Group, a joint team set up with AWS in 2015.

Verified AWS credentials:

  • Partner tier: AWS’s own Accenture page does not state the tier. Older coverage describes Accenture as a Premier partner with AWS MSP status (CMSWire).
  • Competencies: AWS lists 30+ competencies and service delivery designations, including Migration, Security, SAP, DevOps, Financial Services and Machine Learning. AWS also states Accenture holds more than 30,000 AWS Certifications.

Key managed services capabilities: AWS’s page lists Accenture Managed Service for AWS, run support for SAP on AWS, and AWS managed security within its security offering.

Industries and workloads: Financial services, life sciences, retail, public sector and industrial workloads, plus SAP and contact centre transformation.

Who should evaluate it: Large enterprises that want AWS operations within a global strategy-to-run transformation program.

How to choose the right provider

Start with your workloads and risks, not the partner’s logo wall. These eight areas separate a good AWS managed services partner in India from a weak one.

  • Support coverage: Confirm 24×7 coverage for production, and whether it is staffed by engineers or a ticket desk. Ask where the on-call team sits and which time zones it covers.
  • SLA terms: Look for separate targets for acknowledgement, response and resolution by severity. Uptime commitments only mean something if the provider controls the architecture behind them.
  • Incident ownership: Decide who leads an incident, who talks to AWS Support, and who writes the root cause analysis.
  • Security responsibilities: Map every control to an owner: patching, IAM reviews, vulnerability fixes, log retention and audit evidence. Regulated firms should check fit with RBI, SEBI or IRDAI expectations where relevant.
  • FinOps: Ask for a monthly cost review with named actions, not just a dashboard. Clarify who approves rightsizing and commitment purchases.
  • Disaster recovery testing: A DR plan that has never been tested is a document, not a capability. Agree how often restores and failovers are tested and how results are reported.
  • Onboarding: A good onboarding covers discovery, access, runbooks, monitoring baselines and a stabilization period before steady-state SLAs apply.
  • Reporting and exit: Agree the monthly report format upfront. Also agree what happens when the contract ends: handover of runbooks, credentials, IaC code and documentation.

Questions to ask before signing

Use these in your RFP or final-round calls. Vague answers are a signal in themselves.

  • What are your response and resolution targets for P1 to P4 incidents, and which ones carry service credits?
  • Does the clock stop while you wait on us or on AWS Support?
  • What is explicitly out of scope: application code, databases, third-party tools, or non-AWS systems?
  • Who is our named escalation contact at each level, up to delivery head?
  • Which activities are billed outside the monthly fee, such as change requests, after-hours work or DR drills?
  • How is pricing calculated: per resource, percentage of AWS spend, or fixed fee? What triggers a price change?
  • Can you show your current AWS MSP and Competency listings on Partner Solutions Finder?
  • Who works on our account, and are they in India or offshore?
  • How often do you test our backups and DR, and will we see the results?
  • What do we receive at exit, and how long is the transition support?

Conclusion

There is no single best AWS managed service provider in India for every buyer. A global SI may suit a multinational running a ten-year outsourcing contract. An AWS-focused specialist may suit a fast-growing Indian business that wants senior engineers close to its team.

Shortlist two or three providers whose credentials match your workloads. Then compare them on scope, SLAs, security ownership, FinOps and exit terms, using the questions above. Verify every credential on AWS Partner Solutions Finder before you sign.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The best AWS managed service providers in India don’t publish a standard rate card. Most charge a fixed monthly fee, a per-resource fee or a percentage of your AWS bill. Scope, support hours and compliance needs affect the price the most, so compare quotes only for the same scope.

AWS Managed Services (AMS) is run by AWS itself. The best AWS managed service providers in India are third-party partners that run your environment under their own contract. Partners that pass AWS’s audit hold validated AWS MSP status.

Yes. Most of the best AWS managed service providers in India offer co-managed models. For example, the provider runs monitoring, patching and backups, and your team keeps releases and security approvals. Put each party’s responsibilities in the contract.

Yes. The best AWS managed service providers in India can run workloads in the AWS Mumbai and Hyderabad Regions and document the controls for audits. Your organization still decides which rules apply, such as the DPDP Act, and stays accountable for compliance.

Most do for production workloads, but coverage differs. Ask whether on-call engineers or a ticket desk handle incidents at night. Also ask for response targets by severity, written into the SLA.
